This middle tier is a taster for urushi decorative technique. It offer opportunity for human to get their customised fountain pen with simple motif at an affordable price. You can customised your pen with simple declarative motif using one or two techniques including hiramakie, raden and nashiji.
More complex design will be classify to tier 3.

Raden (shell inley)
Raden is a shell inlay technique. This tier is limited to stripe or crushed raden. It can be sprinkle randomly or lay in srtip in a simple pattern.

Hiramakie
The three traditional styles of Tsugaru Nuri are a) Kara-nuri, b) Nanako-nuri, Monsha-nuri is available. The last Nishiki-nuri is available for tier 3.

Nashiji
Nashiji is glitter made with genuine gold, tin or silver. The colour is affected by the thickness of the top glazed, range from yellow gold to orange. Other less usual colour like red, green and blue is also available.
